Local magazine wins recognition at Asian Publishing Awards

Beirut -- BEIRUT: AcademiX Middle East, the three-year-old English-language magazine published in Lebanon and distributed throughout Arab countries, won the content generation category at the Asian Publishing Awards, during the Asian Publishing Convention held in Singapore on August 15. "AcademiX's editorial purpose and mission and its relevancy to the interest of its target audience was the most deserving publication," the judges said. Each issue of AcademiX contains a 22-page pullout career guide dedicated to a specific university major, detailing the academic path required to obtain a different degree and including a list of universities worldwide offering the relevant degree.

"It's a great honor to have received this award, especially at a time when we are planning to launch AcademiX in several new markets along with a trilingual online version [English, Arabic and French] including content for subscribers," said Dima Raouda Casutt, founder of Usoos Productions and publisher of AcademiX. - The Daily Star
